The WesterwaldSteig is celebrating its 15th birthday this year. All hiking enthusiasts and fans of the "Top Trail of Germany" are cordially invited to celebrate this special anniversary in style. In order to cover as many sections of the trail as possible, a variety of guided hikes will be offered throughout the year.
On Sunday, 10.9.2023 at 10:00 a.m., there will be a guided hike on the "Wiedblick-Tour" adventure loop around Waldbreitbach, Hausen and Niederbreitbach in the Wiedtal valley. Wonderful nature, beautiful buildings and magnificent views. This is what awaits the participants on the 11 km long loop on the WesterwaldSteig with 280 meters of elevation gain.
The start is at 10:00 a.m. at the Waldbreitbach Tourist Information Office at Neuwieder Straße 61. Free parking is available in Markstraße. Hiking guide Liane Viebahn accompanies the tour and explains interesting facts about the region along the way. The participation fee is €5.00 per person (to be paid on site). Children and young people are free of charge. Dogs may be brought along, but must be kept on a lead. Each participant takes part in a prize draw and has the chance to win attractive prizes from the region. The main prize is a ride in the Wiedtal hot-air balloon, which promises a completely new perspective on the hiking paradise of the Westerwald.
