Second tourism network meeting at Neuwied Zoo

This promises to be a successful model: The 2nd tourism network meeting of the business development agency and the tourism working group of the district of Neuwied also met with lively interest from the service providers of the regional tourism industry. Around 30 participants from the various tourism sectors in the district came to Neuwied Zoo to strengthen cooperation and networking between tourism partners.

At the beginning of the meeting, District Administrator Achim Hallerbach and Mayor Jan Einig emphasized the importance of such forums for regional tourism and its diversity. The participants from the hotel industry, gastronomy, excursion destinations, viticulture and incentive providers reflected the breadth of the industry in person.

After the regional agencies had introduced themselves at the last meeting, tourism consultant Christian Dübner from the Koblenz Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the chairman of the Neuwied Dehoga district association Patrick Doll reported on their activities and offers in the district. "As tourism is a formative economic factor in our district, all decision-makers must do their utmost to ensure that our service providers are not left alone," emphasized Achim Hallerbach. The District Administrator also had Neuwied Zoo, the largest leisure attraction of its kind in Rhineland-Palatinate, in mind. It was up to its director Mirko Thiel to introduce his guests to the special attractions of the facility, including during a tour.

The conclusion of the organizer and head of the tourism working group, Anja Aarenz, was correspondingly positive: "The 2nd tourism network meeting at Neuwied Zoo showed how important close cooperation and networking between tourism partners is for creating synergies. The organizers are already looking forward to further events of this kind to further strengthen the regional tourism industry."
