Hiking pass: Collect hiking badges in the Westerwald

A hand holds a smartphone displaying an outdoor activity app, showing hiking trail options with photos of landscapes and a dock over a lake, along with navigation icons at the bottom.

In cooperation with the SummitLynx app, Westerwald Touristik-Service offers hikers in the Westerwald the opportunity to digitally record their hiking experiences and collect points in the process. When hiking on the Wäller Touren day and circular hiking trails, the Kleine Wäller walking and hiking trails and the WesterwaldSteig and Wiedweg trails, you pass the waypoints provided and can record them. This is how the Wäller Bronze, Wäller Silver and Wäller Gold medals can be achieved.

The principle of the SummitLynx app is very simple: you download the free app onto your cell phone and start collecting your waypoints. A flexible alternative to the conventional paper hiking pass or stamp booklet. It's also worth taking a photo and sharing it with friends via the app on Facebook for envious glances. If you win one of the medals, you will receive a certificate. In addition, hikers can register with the Westerwald Tourist Service and receive a gift: from a Westerwald pin and multifunctional scarf to a Westerwald lunch box.
