A hand holds a smartphone displaying an outdoor activity app, showing hiking trail options with photos of landscapes and a dock over a lake, along with navigation icons at the bottom.

In cooperation with the SummitLynx app, Westerwald Touristik-Service has recently started offering hikers the opportunity to digitally record their hiking experiences and collect points. When hiking on the Wäller Touren circular hiking trails and the Kleine Wäller walking trails, you can pass and record the waypoints provided. Once all the waypoints on a tour have been reached, the hiker is credited with a certain number of points. The principle of the app is very simple: you download the free app onto your cell phone and start your collection of waypoints by clicking on "Enter".

It's also worth taking a photo and sharing it with friends via the app on Facebook for envious glances. A flexible alternative to the conventional paper stamp booklet for the WesterwaldSteig. The Westerwald-Steig can also be hiked using the app. If you complete one of the medals, you will receive a certificate. You can also register with Westerwald Touristik and receive a gift: from a Westerwald pin to a multifunctional scarf and a Westerwald lunch box.
