Eifelverein Linz on the monastery trail

A group of smiling older adults with hiking gear pose in front of a red bus on a sunny day, ready for an outing. Some hold trekking poles, and a large circular sign with text is displayed near the bus door.

The last day hike organized by the Eifelverein Ortsgruppe Linz led along the Wäller Tour "Klosterweg" from Rengsdorf to Waldbreitbach. The group used the hiking bus, which runs every Sunday and public holiday at 9:30 a.m. from Wiedtal to the heights. Chairwoman Irmhild Füllenbach had registered the group of 21 people in advance with the Wiedtal Tourist Association and so a large bus was organized especially for this day. And the fare was only €3.00 per hiker. Normally, a 12-seater coach is used on the route. Led by hiking guide Katharina Stollenwerk, the 18-kilometre hike took place in 20 degrees and plenty of sunshine. Despite the current situation, the hike was a great success and ended with a refreshment stop at Nassen's Mühle in Waldbreitbach.
