The LC Rhein-Wied has once again been able to win over the Bad Honnef Choir 'n Joy, which is known far beyond the borders of the region, for a concert. The concert will take place on Saturday, 25.03.2023 at 19.00 in the Wiedhalle in Roßbach. Admission and refreshments start at 6.00 pm. Information on tickets, which cost 18 euros for adults and 10 euros for young people, and the advance booking offices can be found at https://rhein-wied.lions.de/.
Under the motto "Rhythm of life", the choir led by its director Johannes Weiß will present a varied program of soul, jazz, musicals, gospel and more and, as experience has shown, will completely captivate its audience musically. `n Joy is not just the name of the choir, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Rather, the choir conveys the incredible joy of singing together to its audience in a very direct way and delivers pure enthusiasm and goosebumps.
Back in 2017, the powerful-voiced ensemble with over 80 singers ensured a sold-out house back then in Asbach. "The tickets for the concert were sold within a very short time and the concert under the motto "Come together" was a great success for us," said the current President of the LC Rhein-Wied, Ingeborg M. Mende. "That very evening, we decided to organize another concert with 'n Joy."
The mayor of the Rengsdorf-Waldbreitbach municipality, Hans-Werner Breithausen, who is himself an enthusiastic choir singer, has taken on the patronage of the upcoming concert. It is important to him that in this way he can support the work of the LC Rhein-Wied, which is committed to social cohesion in the region and also cares for people in emergency situations, among other things.
The proceeds from this year's benefit concert will go towards musical youth work in the Wiedtal. The school orchestra project at the Realschule Plus in Waldbreitbach will benefit in particular.
