Environmental compass appears with a new name and new layout: Westerwald nature experiences
Westerwald region. The "Wir Westerwälder" initiative is presenting the "new environmental compass" in a new look and with even more content. "We are delighted to be able to present the former Environmental Compass to the citizens of the Westerwald region, but also to our guests, as the Westerwald Nature Experiences and with a new look. And there is also a wide, varied and colourful range of events on offer," said the three Westerwald district councillors Dr. Peter Enders (AK), Achim Hallerbach (NR) and Achim Schwickert (WW).
The joint project of the districts of Altenkirchen, Westerwaldkreis and Neuwied under the umbrella of the joint initiative "Wir Westerwälder" is being published for the 12th time this year. This edition once again publishes a wide range of varied events relating to nature and the environment from the entire region. Nature conservation organizations, farm learning locations, the forestry administration, adult education institutions and educational establishments present more than 460 events on around 170 pages in the annual programme booklet.
"Just in time for the start of spring, our calendar of events is appearing in a new look as a modern, informative and attractive medium for target groups of all ages and social classes," says Sandra Köster, Managing Director of Wir Westerwälder gAöR.
The new front page with the squirrel and a photo focuses on the topic of "nature" and is equally interesting for families and "loners". Themes such as Active & Relaxed, Herbs, Animals & Environment, Families & Explorers make it clear at a glance what kind of events can be found inside. Another new feature is that a calendar has been integrated in combination with a color coding system. Events that are particularly suitable for children are given the orange-colored kids icon. Events requiring registration are also highlighted in color with a registration button.
The aim of the redesign is to present our citizens and guests in the districts of Altenkirchen, Neuwied and Westerwald the diverse activities in the environmental and nature sector (often organized and carried out by volunteers and private individuals) in an attractive, modern form. "We are delighted that numerous organizers have once again made use of our platform in digital and printed form in this special year and have registered their events with us," agree the three district administrators Dr. Peter Enders (AK) Achim Hallerbach (NR) and Achim Schwickert (WW). The Westerwald Nature Experiences are a very good example of the inter-municipal cooperation between the three district administrations and the Dierdorf Forestry Office, which have jointly compiled the calendar of events under the umbrella of Wir Westerwälder.
The Westerwald Nature Experiences can be obtained from the three participating district administrations, the local authority administrations and the tourist information offices, museums and tourist facilities, and is also available online via the district websites and at wir-westerwaelder.de.
