New offers on the dwarf paths in Rengsdorf

A man paints the hat of a large wooden gnome sculpture blue outdoors on a sunny day, with other similar gnome sculptures nearby, in a grassy, tree-filled yard.

The three dwarf trails around Rensgdorf have been around for a good ten years now. So it was time to come up with something new to keep the trails attractive. The local community of Rengsdorf commissioned Edmund Plag, a chainsaw artist from Roßbach, to carve a new dwarf for each starting point. They can be easily distinguished by the color of the hats matching the trail.

For the summer vacations, the Rengsdorf-Waldbreitbach Youth Welfare Office has come up with an offer for all those staying at home. For the red and blue dwarf trails, there is a dwarf rally for ages 5-7 and 8-10. Anyone who masters the tasks along the way and puts together the solution word will receive a small gift at the tourist information offices. The rally questions can be printed out at home or taken from the brochure boxes on site.

Since June, the blue dwarf trail has been one of the ten "Little Wäller" walking and hiking trails in the Westerwald and is therefore promoted nationwide. In future, trail patron Peter Buchen will be responsible for monitoring the trails. He improves the markings and is regularly out and about on the three tours to record any damage. Further improvements and new play and activity equipment are planned for the coming year. The signposting is also constantly being improved.
