Visitors to the Wiedtal and Rengsdorfer Land can now obtain information around the clock at three outdoor terminals. The terminals are located in Anhausen at the Wäller Tour Iserbachschleife hiking parking lot and in Waldbreitbach opposite the tourist information office. The third terminal will be at the town hall in Rengsdorf. The entrance area is still being renovated, so it will not be installed until spring.
The Wiedtal Tourist Association, represented by Chairman Hans-Werner Breithausen and Managing Director Florian Fark, presented the terminal in Anhausen together with local mayor Heinz-Otto Zantop.
"We deliberately opted for weatherproof outdoor terminals that can withstand rain and frost and are easy to use even in the sun. This means that visitors have free access to the information at all times," says Hans-Werner Breithausen.
The terminals were manufactured just around the corner by the company TIS from Mogendorf in the Westerwald. They are equipped with HD daylight screens and a thermo-controlled display case. The software enables individual motif changers and also integrates the interfaces to the hiking tour planner Outdooractive or the booking software Deskline. Furthermore, a lot of content such as the news or gastronomy overview from the homepage www.wiedtal.de is displayed. "This saves us double maintenance, as the content for all three locations is automatically pulled from the website," adds Florian Fark.
