
From January 18 to 20, 2025, Westerwald Touristik-Service (WTS) had a stand at the Caravan Motor Tourism Trade Fair (CMT) in Stuttgart. A special highlight was the award ceremony for the new and re-certification of the "Quality Trail Hikeable Germany" by the German Hiking Association. A total of eleven hiking trails from the Westerwald region were newly certified or recertified. These awards stand for the high quality and attractiveness of the trails, which inspire both hiking enthusiasts and nature lovers.

- Druidensteig (recertification)
- Wäller tours:
- Brexbachschluchtweg (recertification)
- Bärenkopp (recertification)
- Hohe Hahnscheid (recertification)
- Greifenstein loop E1 (recertification)
- Greifenstein loop E2 (recertification)
- From Teufelsberg to Caaner Schweiz (initial certification)
- Brachbach mine hiking trail (initial certification)
- Druidenstein hiking trail (initial certification)
The award underlines the continuous work and commitment within the region for a high-quality hiking experience. All partners will continue to work in the coming years to ensure the attractiveness and quality of the hiking trails and to position the Westerwald as a leading hiking region.
The WTS's participation in CMT 2025 was a complete success. The certifications attracted numerous trade visitors and interested parties to the stand, who came to find out more about the Westerwald hiking region. The cycling offers also aroused the curiosity of visitors.
