As part of the Rhineland-Palatinate tourism information campaign, the event "Dialog.Future.Tourism" took place at Montabaur Castle. The diverse potential for developing tourism in the municipalities into a successful economic and quality of life factor was highlighted. Numerous committed representatives from politics and tourism came together to exchange ideas and find out about the importance and significance of tourism.

Gabriele Flach, Chairwoman of the Rhineland-Palatinate Tourism and Spas Association, opened the evening with a passionate plea for greater appreciation of tourism: "Tourism is a plus for everyone - this is the slogan of our campaign to raise awareness of tourism. Tourism is a decisive economic and location factor and a flourishing tourism industry also ensures a better quality of life and a liveable environment for the locals."

Stefan Zindler, Managing Director of Rheinland-Pfalz Tourismus GmbH, emphasized the economic importance of the tourism industry: "Overnight guests in Rhineland-Palatinate spend an average of 22.5 million euros every day. With 150,000 jobs dependent on tourism, our industry is a real one."

Lothar Weinand for DEHOGA Rhineland-Palatinate and Christian Dübner for IHK Koblenz presented their tasks and services as part of the Tourism Strategy 2025. With practical examples, Maja Büttner from Westerwald Touristik-Service GbR, Philipp Borchardt from Lahntal Tourismus Verband e.V. and Wiebke Pfitzmann from Moselregion Traben-Trarbach Kröv gave attendees an insight into the tasks and structures of tourism work at local and regional level.
