His day trip began with a meeting with Oberraden Mayor Achim Braasch, VG Mayor Hans-Werner Breithausen and Councillor Katharina Deriks. Together, they exchanged views with the chairman of the SPD local association Jürgen Hühner and the head of the Wiedtal tourism association Florian Fark. Topics of discussion included the development of tourism, the structure of the tourism association and cooperation with the neighboring tourist information offices.

The member of the Bundestag and his discussion partners then traveled to Breitscheid to meet with Peggy Stüber, Chairwoman of the Rengsdorf-Waldbreitbach Economic Forum. Together they talked about the work of the Economic Forum and its importance for the region. Federal policy issues were also discussed. Finally, the group visited the recently opened Tante-M store in Kurtscheid. The local supplier is open 365 days a year from 5 am to 11 pm. On site, Mayor Ferdi Wittlich provided information about the development and realization of the project and its benefits for the local community.
