New ADAC bike service station on the Wiedradweg in Roßbach

The ADAC is responding to the shift towards cycling and has been offering new services since 2024: These include bike service stations, which are set up on selected cycle paths and heavily frequented locations.

Cyclists can now look forward to the popular Wied cycle path in the Westerwald: A new service station has been opened in Roßbach / Wied. It is equipped with high-quality tools and enables minor repairs to bicycles as well as baby carriages and wheelchairs - easily and free of charge. Use is independent of ADAC membership.

"The Wiedradweg is one of the most beautiful river cycle paths in Rhineland-Palatinate and is becoming increasingly popular with leisure cyclists as well as for multi-day tours. We are delighted that the ADAC Mittelrhein is further enhancing the offer along the route with the new station," says local mayor Thomas Boden.

The station's equipment includes a suspension device for bicycles, an air pump and common tools such as tire levers, screwdrivers, open-end wrenches and an Allen multitool. This means that flat tires, loose screws or incorrectly adjusted saddles can be fixed immediately.

"We are proud to be able to offer this service to cyclists and guests. The station is a practical service that allows you to help yourself quickly and easily - an important contribution to cycling and sustainable tourism," emphasizes Rudi Speich, Chairman of ADAC Mittelrhein e. V.

Further information on the nationwide stations can be found at www.radservice-station.de. If a repair is not possible on site, the ADAC bicycle breakdown service can help on 089 20 20 4000.
