This is what awaits you in the 2025 annual program of the Rhine-Westerwald Nature Park and the Dierdorf Forestry Office:

With more than 190 events, the new annual program "On the trail of nature" is sure to impress. The Rhine-Westerwald Nature Park and the Dierdorf Forestry Office would like to thank the more than 40 cooperation partners, without whom such a varied program for young and old would not be possible, by presenting the annual program on 03.04.2025 at Misto's in Neustadt/Wied.

From extreme mountain bike tours, forest bathing under redwood trees, excursions for the whole family, creative environmental education programs to practical nature conservation measures, the annual program once again creates numerous opportunities for all age groups to identify with the landscape on their own doorstep in a new way. Uwe Hoffmann, Head of the Dierdorf Forestry Office, emphasizes the commitment and inventiveness of the cooperation partners, who put together new offers every year and thus ensure unforgettable experiences from spring to winter. The Limes World Heritage Site, a unique testimony to our history, can also be discovered up close at various events.

Achim Hallerbach, District Administrator of the Neuwied district and 2nd Chairman of the nature park, emphasizes the quality of life in the region, which is characterized by a diverse cultural and natural landscape. "You don't have to travel far for special nature experiences. The innovative and varied annual program shows once again how exciting nature is on our own doorstep and how multifaceted and diverse our region is. The various programs on offer turn the nature park into a lively learning and adventure space for young and old." The Rheinsteig also celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. With its magnificent views and unique nature experiences, the premium hiking trail is a delight. It not only boosts tourism in the region, but also raises awareness of our natural and cultural landscape.

A big thank you goes to Sparkasse Neuwied, who have once again supported the publication of the annual program with a generous donation this year.

The calendar of events is now available in paper format from the office of the Rhine-Westerwald Nature Park, all local authority offices in the Neuwied district and the Altenkirchen-Flammersfeld local authority, the respective tourist information offices, Sparkasse Neuwied branches and the Dierdorf Forestry Office. All events are published in the calendar on the homepage of Naturpark Rhein-Westerwald e.V.
