Over 200 hikers at the "Let's go Raiffeisen" rally in Dierdorf

A group of people walks in a line along a paved path toward a large green barn under a clear blue sky, surrounded by grass and trees.

On June 4, the third and, for the time being, last "Let's go Raiffeisen" star hike took place in the four municipalities of Altenkirchen-Flammersfeld, Dierdorf, Puderbach and Rengsdorf-Waldbreitbach. The event was launched as a LEADER project of the Raiffeisen region as a municipal cooperation project.

The hikers were guided along five hiking routes of different lengths to the common destination in the Dierdorf-Giershofen village community center. The largest group of hikers, over 80 people, came from the Puderbach district and enjoyed the regional information and sales stands as well as the supporting program.

The mayor of VG Dierdorf, Manuel Seiler, opened the program together with LAG chairman Volker Mendel. Many dance groups, music clubs and regional providers were represented on site. A shuttle bus provided smooth transportation for the walkers back to the respective starting points. The event was a resounding success and was entirely in the spirit of Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen: "What one person cannot do alone, many can!"
