
Which tourism topics will become more relevant in the future? Answers to this question were the focus of the 4th tourism network meeting in Unkel. During the exchange between the players from the leisure and tourism industry, it became even clearer that nature and regional enjoyment will be the two focal points for successful tourism work. The event was once again organized by the Neuwied district economic development agency.
District Administrator Achim Hallerbach pointed out to the almost 50 attendees the importance of such a network offering in order to discuss content relevant to tourism: "Regionality as the basis of tourism experience management with a focus on regional products with their history of enjoyment as well as the special distinction of the nature park region are topics that can be important success factors in tourism marketing."
The subsequent presentations by Nature Park Managing Director Irmgard Schröer and WFG Project Manager Jörg Hohenadl on the "Naturgenuss-Partner" initiative also revealed to the tourism professionals what these options are based on.
Producers and hosts of the regional initiative as well as representatives of the "Wällermarkt" as a logistics partner and digital sales platform had their say in the subsequent exchange on the added value and opportunities, but also on the challenges that the use of regional products entails. In general, the aim of the networking meeting of tourism businesses in the district is to attract even more guests to the region with an appealing offer.
