The district of Neuwied has published a new tourism brochure to coincide with the vacation season: sights with a national appeal as well as the region's most beautiful hiking and cycling trails have been selected for "Naturally Rhine-Westerwald". The brochure ranges from cultural and historical discoveries to active leisure experiences and special places. Especially in the current times, which are characterized by the pandemic situation, vacations and leisure activities in German regions take on a whole new meaning. "There are plenty of destinations on our own doorstep that are worth rediscovering or rediscovering," recommends District Administrator Achim Hallerbach in the brochure. For him, the district is a perfect recreational destination for people in the region, but also for residents of nearby urban centers. "Ultimately, the distances are not far at all, accessibility is good and we offer a high degree of originality. Real treasures to discover, far off the beaten tourist track," says the head of the district.
The new tourism brochure is accompanied by a website www.natürlich-rhein-westerwald.de."Thanks to tips from insiders, interested visitors will receive additional first-hand recommendations on all tourist destinations that they would not usually have known or noticed," promises Jörg Hohenadl from the Neuwied district's business development agency. Harald Schmillen, Managing Director of the District Economic Development Agency, also sees the new publication as a good opportunity to focus more strongly on the district's tourist beacons. The brochure is available free of charge from the Waldbreitbach Tourist Information Office.
