Tour tip from the mayor: "O1 Oberraden" circular hike

Two people with backpacks walk across a lush, green field on a sunny day, surrounded by trees and under a clear blue sky.

In a regular series, Westerwald-Touristik presents a favorite cycling or hiking route of an association mayor. Today it's the almost 7 km long circular hiking trail O1 in Oberraden, which Mayor Hans-Werner Breithausen from the Rengsdorf-Waldbreitbach district enjoys hiking.

The 6.7 km long circular hiking trail O1 in Oberraden leads through forests and wide meadows along lovely streams around Oberraden towards Niederraden. The O1 is a relaxed walking (hiking) trail that runs on easy paths and without any great difficulty, mainly through the forest and along meadows. The hike leads through a varied valley down along the lovely Aubach stream.

After crossing the Aubach, the route leads slightly uphill back to the starting point. Mayor Hans-Werner Breithausen loves the variety on the trail. The hiking trail is also suitable for less experienced hikers. Along the way, there is a playground, a panoramic swing for young and old and a lovely bench to relax on.
