WIEDer ins TAL 2021 is canceled

A family rides bikes on a paved path through a lush green landscape; two adults, a child, and a bike trailer with two small children, all wearing helmets and bright clothing, under a partly cloudy sky.

The WIEDer ins TAL cycling day on May 16, 2021 will not take place again this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. This was announced by the organizers from the municipalities of Rengsdorf-Waldbreitbach, Asbach, Flammersfeld and Puderbach as well as the city of Neuwied. Even though it is an open-air event, many people come together in the towns and at the catering outlets in a confined space. The volunteers, volunteer fire departments and rescue services are also busy with other tasks at the moment.

The cycling day will therefore not take place again until next year, on Sunday, May 15, 2022. Until then, the Wied cycle path, which is now very well developed and signposted, can be ridden individually at any time. The missing signage from Laubachsmühe to the Rhine was completed at the beginning of the year.
